A number of articles relating to NITL appeared in the December issue of LinkLine, the award winning quarterly publication of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in Ireland.

The first article (on page 5) is about the award of the James Cooper Memorial Cup to Dr. Pietro Evangelista. The prize, awarded by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the UK, is named in memory of Professor James Cooper. It is awarded annually to students at UK or Republic of Ireland universities for research that makes an original contribution to the field and is directly relevant to the management of the end-to-end supply chain. On pages 31 and 32 there is a report by Howard Knott about a recent event hosted by the CILT Eastern Section. Edward Sweeney of NITL presented one of the papers at the event. The paper, entitled “Dynamic Supply Chain Management and Logistics Leading the Recovery” explored the role of SCM and logistics as a key ingredient in the return to export-driven economic growth.
