NITL Welcomes Two New Visiting Researchers

NITL is delighted to welcome two new visiting researchers to its team.

Juan Carlos Carrasco Gimenez is a graduate of the Industrial Engineering Department at University of Malaga (www.uma.es) and is working on sustainable logistics issues. His specific interests are in the area of rail freight and its role in the creation of more environmentally sustainable supply chains. He is also supporting NITL in its ongoing work on the development of green initiatives in the pan-European 3PL sector. Juan Carlos’ stay with us is funded by Argo Global (see http://becasargo.es/portal/web/guest). Argo Global is a program funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and gives young university graduates the opportunity to carry out internships in international companies or HEIs.

Christopher Kelleher is based in the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio (http://www.cob.ohio-state.edu). Fisher is one of the world’s top ranked business schools and is home to several internationally renowned SCM academics including Douglas M. Lambert, Martha C. Cooper and Bernard J. LaLonde. Chris is at NITL under the auspices of EUSA, an international, not-for-profit, internship organisation run in partnership with Boston University (www.eusa-edu.com). His work at NITL is also in the area of sustainable supply chains, with a specific focus on the use of environmental management systems.
