On a European policy level, the networks purpose is to contribute to European harmonisation of law, technology and standardisation in transport and logistics and to support the foundation of new regional logistics competence centres (LoCCs).

Open ENLoCC currently has members from the Czech Republic, Austria, Finland, Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Sweden and Slovenia. NITL will be its first Irish partner.
