Dr John Gattorna, B.E (Melb); MBA (Mon); PhD (Cranfield)
John Gattorna has been working in the distribution/logistics/supply chain space for over 25 years, and he has the scars to show for it. He started his professional life as a degree engineer, and after nearly a decade working in construction and heavy industry with a public utility and two US multi-nationals, he switched to logistics.
During the last two decades he has worked in the SC space in various capacities; research; consultancy; teaching; and more recently ‘thought leader’ and author. John is much sought after as a Keynote speaker on the international conference circuit, and continues to write at a prolific rate, with a nice blend of the conceptual and the practical. He is Australian by birth, lives in the ‘Emerald city’ of Sydney, but spends 6 months a year working inside companies from Asia to the Middle-East, and South America. His latest book, Dynamic Supply Chains, is to be released in the UK in mid-August 2010 ( FT Prentice Hall, London), and in the US (FT Press, NY) about a month later. Already, some of the best global corporations are applying his radical ideas to the transformation of their respective businesses.
