Trans-Atlantic Outreach: NITL visits US centres of excellence

(10 Jun 2013)

NITL has long had strong academic links throughout Europe and in many parts of Asia. A recent visit to New England and New York aimed to build stronger linkages with recognised US centres of excellence in the transport, logistics and SCM fields. The trip was built around meetings at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), New England Institute of Technology (NE Tech) and New York University (NYU).New Picture 93 Thumbnail0
MIT is one of the world’s leading universities and was ranked number one in the world in 2012 QS World University Rankings. The MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL) is a dynamic solutions-oriented environment where students, faculty, and industry leaders pool their knowledge and experience to advance supply chain education and research. Part of the MIT School of Engineering, CTL coordinates more than 100 supply chain research efforts across the MIT campus and around the world. It also educates students and corporate leaders in the essential principles of SCM and helps organizations increase productivity and decrease environmental impact.
