FIATA World Congress to be Hosted in Dublin in 2016

Following a final push for its bid to host the FIATA World Congress in Dublin in 2016, the team from the Irish International Freight Association (IIFA) traversed the final mile at the recent 2013 FIATA Congress in Singapore and accomplished a successful result after six months of concentrated effort.

New Cohorts Commence Postgraduate Programmes with NITL

CILT Launch New Brand

The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) Ireland recently hosted a visit by the CILT International President Dr. Dorothy Chan FCILT. In conjunction with this special visit the Institute hosted a number of events over two days. These included meetings with Irish academics with interests in the field of logistics and supply chain management (SCM) and with leading women working in the profession.

European Financial Review Publishes NITL Collaborative Research

An invited article based on NITL’s collaborative research with its Italian and Swedish colleagues was published recently in one of Europe’s leading business magazines. The article is concerned with the role of third party logistics providers (3PLs) in the adoption of green supply chain initiatives and is published in the most recent issue of the European Financial Review.

Over that period, many of Ireland’s leading supply chain professionals have studied with us and many of our graduates are now recognised supply chain leaders across a variety of sectors. It is appropriate, therefore, that as part of our 15th birthday celebrations we are launching an NITL Alumni Group.

Hytech Logistics sign €1.5m contract with LLA to deliver DOPsys

Hytech Logistics has signed a contract valued at €1.5m with the Logistics Learning Alliance (LLA) in the UK to deliver the world’s first ever certified technical distribution service – DOPsys. The new partnership will also see a set of accredited training programmes in technical distribution for the logistics sector that specifically include ‘final-mile delivery’. NITL is delighted to be acting as an advisor to Hytech on this initiative.
