Supply Chain Management and Logistics in a Volatile Global Environment (ISBN: 978-1-84218-177-5), edited by Edward Sweeney of NITL, has now been published by Blackhall Publishing. Following on from the acclaimed Perspectives on Supply Chain Management and Logistics, this volume explores a range of supply chain management (SCM) and logistics challenges in the rapidly evolving global context.

The book comprises contributions from leading SCM experts in Ireland, the UK, Europe, Australasia and North America. Amongst the UK universities from which there are chapters are Oxford, Cranfield and Heriot-Watt. Contributors include recognised global experts in SCM including Martin Christopher, John Gattorna, Steve New, Alan McKinnon, David Grant and Richard Wilding. Commenting on the publication Edward said that he was proud that NITL had assembled such a range of eminent contributors.

The official launch of the book will take place at the end of the forthcoming Logistics Ireland conference in the Crown Plaza hotel in Dublin. Several of the chapter contributors will be in attendance, with two (Professors David Grant and Martin Christopher) delivering keynote speeches at the event.
