Edward Sweeney of NITL was a guest at the recent degree conferring ceremony at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. At the ceremony Pietro Evangelista was conferred with a Ph.D. for his thesis entitled ‘Dissemination of information and communication technology in supply chain management; the impact on small and medium sized transport and logistics service providers’.

Two Visiting Scholars Join NITL

NITL Participates in NEX-GEM Research Workshop

NEX-GEM (‘Next Generation Manufacturing Supply Chains and Digital Economy Research Collaboration’) is a project which aims is to create a collaborating environment for academics and industrial partners from diverse but complementary backgrounds to share and exchange the latest and emerging developments in concepts, methodologies and tools to support “Next generation supply chains”.

NITL Launches Supply Chain Perspectives

Today NITL published its new web-based magazine - Supply Chain Perspectives (SCP). SCP (ISSN: 2009-2342) is a peer-reviewed publication that aims to create awareness about leading edge supply chain management (SCM) and logistics themes among practitioners in this field. It will also keep readers informed of key developments in NITL and in the wider Irish SCM community. Supply Chain Perspectives replaces Logistics Solutions which NITL published for almost a decade.

NITL Staff Member Joins the Editorial Board of Leading Journal

NITL staff recently attended the annual conference of the International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association (IPSERA). This year’s event took place from April 5-8 and was hosted by the European Business School (EBS) located in the Rhinegau Region in Southern Germany.

Supply Chain Management and Logistics in a Volatile Global Environment

Edward Sweeney of NITL has signed an agreement with Blackhall Publishing in Dublin for publication of a new book – Supply Chain Management and Logistics in a Volatile Global Environment. This follows on from the publication by Blackhall in 2007 of Perspectives on Supply Chain Management and Logistics: Creating Competitive Organisations in the 21st Century.
